Productos de Espuma S.A. also known as its trademark “PRODEX”, was created in August 1995 as a sister company of PROPLAX SA, and both formed the Corporative Group known as “Costa Rica Union Plastics (CRUP), now counting with over 45 years of experience in the transformation of plastics in Costa Rica.
In September of 1996 our company started the polyethylene foam production and at the same time, we set our main goal of o ering a modern and reliable international quality packaging to the local market.
After a good start in the industrial and agricultural sectors, in May 1998, the company introduces to the market a new line of PRODEX thermic insulation. Since Prodex has became leader in re ective thermal insulation in Costa Rica and had the capacity to place our products in other international markets such as Canada, USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Central America, Dominical Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, Venezuela, Ecuador, Spain and Andorra.
PRODEX foam is fabricated with the most advanced foaming process and does not produce environmental risks of any kind; Prove to this is the most recent certi cation received due to the compliance of the International Regulations for Environmental Management Systems Certi cation ISO 14001:2004. Also, in the year 2004, PRODEX obtains the Total Quality Assurance Certi cation ISO 9001, which commits the company to optimize our products quality, in seek for continuous improvement and our clients’ total satisfaction.
Our goal as a company under a Free Duty Regimen (Zona Franca) is to export at least a 75% of our total annual production. The gradual grow of production and sales determined the need for a Company Facilities and Equipment Expansion Plan, reason why we have chosen to fabricate our products with the highest international quality standards, process and services.
With over twelve billion square feet currently sold, which constitutes our best letter of presentation, leads us to continue entering into other markets worldwide. This develop includes innovation, technology, quality, delivering services, consultancy in the use of our products, supported guarantee and sustainable pro tability that allow us a constant grow.
